You never put a copy in a board.
A board here is an empty shell. You rez a prim, it registers itself, and you tell it which of your articles to show. No package, no second picture, no second description, no script to configure. Change the price once and every board carrying that article knows a second later.
This page is about the second half of selling · the shop you put in the world. The rules about what may be sold here are on Selling on skimi3d.
The same ending, two ways to get there
a thing stands inworld and sells itselfThree of them exist only because the catalogue and the board are two separate things · a second box, a script to set up, and the same words typed a second time.
The count is the small part. The real difference is that nothing is typed twice · what the folder knows, the page reads for itself.
You type three things
A price, one sentence, and a tick for whether it may leave the grid. You add a picture. Everything else is read off the folder, and read means measured · not asked, not guessed, and not something you can get wrong.
One article, as many boards as you like.
Because the board holds nothing, the same article can stand in twenty shops at once and there is still only one of it. One price, one description, one picture, one truth.
We do not crop your picture. The board grows instead.
Upload a tall picture and you get a tall board. Upload a wide one and you get a wide board. The screen takes the shape of what you gave it, so there is never a second version of the image made just for inworld.
Anything between 16:9 and 2:4 is taken as it is. Wider or taller than that and we do trim it, so those two are worth staying inside.
What it does once it stands there
none of this is set upThe five percent
Five percent of the sale price, rounded down. Nothing else: no fee to list, no fee to put a board up, nothing monthly, and nothing at all on a giveaway.
It is not our income · it is the drain. Nobody is ever paid out in real money, so what the grid hands out has to leave somewhere. This is the drain that only runs when somebody actually earns.
The long version is on Selling on skimi3d, together with the promise that goes with it: one number from the first day, no tier that buys a lower cut, and three months' notice before it ever changes.
Put a folder in, and see how far it gets on its own.
Reading a folder costs nothing and puts nothing on sale · you can look at what we found and walk away. A board checks in every fifteen minutes, and a price change reaches it in about a second.
